A Letter from our Principal

It is truly an honor to serve as the Interim Principal of Lady Liberty Academy Charter School. My journey as an educator began in 1998, as a middle school mathematics teacher. With over 19 years of educational experience, I have served as a middle school math teacher, math coach, and an Assistant Principal.

I am happy to be a part of the Lady Liberty Academy Charter School family.  I view my position as an opportunity to lead our school in achieving extraordinary goals which will set up standards of academic excellence by increasing instructional rigor and student achievement. Our children come first, and my personal and professional mission is to ensure that all students get the best educational experiences possible both within and outside the classroom.

It is my belief that all students can learn, and it is our job to support their learning needs. Our school is a place where our students want to learn and have fun. They connect their classroom lessons to real world experiences as they learn to problem solve and collaborate. We encourage parental involvement and support by fostering consistent communication to make parents aware of their child’s progress.  By working together, we will ensure the success of every student and help them achieve their academic goals.

I welcome each day with open arms, and I am fortunate to be a part of a great leadership team and the Lady Liberty Academy Charter School family. I am excited for all the great and exciting events and activities that we have planned this year for our students, parents, and staff!

Sincerely,

Ms. Tomeeko Hunt
